Tashkent, 08.06.2026 – An official business meeting was held between "ASR Distribution and Development Group", one of Uzbekistan's leading consulting firms, and the leadership and member companies of the Uzbekistan Food Industry Association.
Company founder Elxan Mikayilov and CEO Ali Valiyev personally attended the meeting and held discussions with the official delegation. The main topics covered large-scale food safety reforms underway in the country, their impact on the local food business, and the processes of adapting entrepreneurs to new regulatory requirements.
During the discussions, participants extensively analysed the transition to a risk-based government inspection system, the implementation of international standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, etc.), and the new opportunities for food sector businesses in terms of increasing export potential, alongside the administrative and technical challenges created by the new regulations.
During the meeting, founder Elxan Mikayilov and CEO Ali Valiyev presented to association members the company's specialised support mechanisms and professional consulting services in the areas of agile adaptation to reform-driven changes, "business diagnostics", building modern management systems, and strengthening institutional capacity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the coming days to formalise mutual cooperation and prepare local producers and exporters for the new reforms.
Under this strategic partnership, joint diagnostic programmes for Uzbekistan's food industry entities, management of practical adaptation projects, and organisation of sector-specific training sessions are planned. The professional consulting support provided under the direct supervision of "ASR Distribution and Development Group" will minimise the risks for local food businesses while accelerating their integration into international markets.
